District Governor’s News

District GovernorAnn Liberato

Dear District 5030 Rotarians…

Can you believe we have just finished month 7 of the rotary year? For most club members this doesn’t really mean anything to them, but it certainly does to your Club President and President Elect.

For your club president this is the time to dig in and finish strong. Success is defined in many ways. Achieving the Rotary International President’s Citation states that your club is firing on all cylinders and your club president has done a great job leading the club to attain goals. The same can be said for the Changemaker Award. One of the ways you can help your club president is to review the criteria and make sure you are doing everything to help them achieve this distinction

For your president elect this is their preparation time. They just finished pre PETS and President Elect Training Seminar (PETS) is right around the corner in March. Step up and help your president elect by taking on a position next rotary year. It doesn’t have to be a huge job, but many hands make light work

Last I would like to remind you about District Conference in Coeur d’Alene Idaho, April 20-22nd. We kick off the conference with a “shotgun start” golf tournament on Friday morning. For the non golfers we will have a community service project with the local schools

The reason I talk so much about District conference is it is the one time a year that club members can get away together for more than a few hours, learn about Rotary, learn about each other, plan, share club history and create stronger bonds. It is an amazing weekend so if you can carve out the time please do! You will be glad you did
